Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Palm Desert Saturday morn ride

For anyone riding there tomorrow and happens to be up this late (or early), I shipped my bike out for vacation and hope to join the 6:30 a ride but found my tire blown with no tube (duh), hope to buy/borrow one if you have an extra! I'll be the visitor riding a trek with November wheels!

It's a wickedly long, unrelenting, cruel, torturous mofo that saves it's worst- which is brutal, like a gradient in the upper teens- for last.

Its awesome.
