Circus monkey stuff??? Is this stuff actually good?
So I didn't search much, but not seeing a lot on it, however, I've noticed people recently talk about their hubs a lot here & elsewhere.
I can appreciate Taiwan a little more than China (though only slightly), however, I'm curious of folks have feedback for their stuff if you've used it?? What about the rest of their stuff? (Their anodized stems look pretty cool) |
I've never used it myself...but I've seen other guys use their stuff without any issues.

Circus Monkey hubs are made by Bitex as are the ones sold by USA-based BikeHubStore.com. I recommend you deal with BHS. They are good people. Bitex makes good hubs. I have worked with them extensively and always been satisfied. Hubs these days are all about two things: the bearings and the ability to handle radial spokes. Bitex is very competent in both areas.

haven't put too many miles, maybe 200, on my Circus Monkey road hub wheels. but i've got no complaints, in fact, the design of the rear hub is very good as regards maintenance. i can disassemble it without tools, and have done so to grease the freehub pawls (don't really care for the loud clicking), of which there are four. super light weight compared to any of the hubs i have on my other bikes. about 311gm for the pair. i would have to buy a 600 set of hubs to lower the weight by more than 20gms. i laced 24h carbon rims 2x. both front and rear.
