How often do you replace tubes?
Say you don't get a flat tire, how often do you replace the tubes on your road bike?
Is there a rule of thumb here, or do you just keep using the same tube until it blows?

I am of the "If there is nothing wrong don't mess with it" school. If no flats, doesn't lose excessive air over time, stem looks okay, replace when replacing the tire.

Been running the same set of tubes for two years. First under hard case race lites, now under armadillos. No pressure problems at all.

I replace them when they no longer hold air. I have no luck with patches, and I know the problem is me and not patches in general, so I put in a new tube when I get a puncture. I keep my old tubes and if I ever find a brand of patch I can get to work, I'll start recycling.

I'd say, replace with a tire or a puncture. No patches.
I use Continental Grand Prix 2000s and I only replace tubes about once a year (with the tires).
