specailized frame size.
Hello everyone,
I recently bought 58 cm 2011 specialized allez comp bike. I am 181 cm tall with shoes. I am wondering if my bike is big for me. I know it really depends and varies person to person but I am just curious to know, what specialized frame preference for guys of similar height have. |
We need the full list of your cycling measurements. At least your cycling inseam. But others would help too. Go here for help. www.competitivecyclist.com/Store/catalog/fitCalculatorBike.jsp
Actually that site may answer your question before you are done. |
How does it feel********************??? Have you made any adjustments?

I am 182 cm tall standard leg to torso ratio and ride a 56 tarmac. It is on the small end of fits well and the 58cm bikes were on the large end of fits well. I bet ether frame could be dialed in for me. For you it all depends. Unless you have a very long or short torso I bet ether frame could fit depending on what you like. I wanted to ride the smaller frame so it could be set up a bit more aggressively

I'm 188 cm tall and ride a 57 cm frame (56 cm ett)

This is being approached very wrong. Your height isn't a factor in the correct frame size. (It's only used with an assumption of the proportions of your body to your height).
The prime factors for size are inseam & femur length, where stack and "setback" are major measurements. Torso, arm, and how you tend to sit on your saddle (riding style) matter with reach (and stack if you have a very aggressive or very gran fonda style). ^This is only a generalization on bike fitting. Please go to a bike shop and actually ride the Specalized. |

I'm 181 and ride a 58 Specialized Roubaix Comp Road and felt the same way. A 56 would have been fine with adjustments also, but I had more room to adjust on the 58.

Could you please let me know what adjustments you made to work fit you. I will try to see if I can make any of those changes.

Standard adjustments on seat, stem, etc. I didn't buy any additional parts if that's what your asking.
