Helmets that hold sunglasses well

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Helmets that hold sunglasses well

Hi Everyone first post

I need to replace my old helmet. Old helmet was a Specialized Propero II. I really like the helmet but I used it and it needs replacing/crashed. The one thing I didn't like was I could not stick my glasses in the vents and get any feeling of them being secure, glasses are Oakley Radarlock Pitch.

I do like and would buy the Giro Synthe if it was available. I asked and Interbike and was told maybe November. I will be riding again before that and need a helmet. The Synthe has specific holes for glasses, I like the design. Also it is supposed to not be as noisy or have as much wind noise as other helmets. I do like the Air Attack but I am not that kinda rider and probably never will be, might wanna be.

So basically looking for a helmet that will hold Oakley Radarlock Pitch glasses securely.

Thanks

My Catlike Whisper works for me. Really big holes make it easy to get the earpieces shoved in.

+1 on the Bell Sweep R provided it fits your head. I have two of them and my Oakley Radar Path fits snugly upside down.

The new Smith Overtake road helmet is advertised as having sunglass docks. It's supposed to be out soon.

Cablez attached to your sunglasses do quite well. Just dangle em off.

I put my Giro Havik glasses in my Giro Aeon helmet. Also fitted well in my Giro Ionos too. Can't wait for the Synthe!

Giro Atmos works really well for glasses. Kask Vertigo does not work so well (but is ridiculously comfortable).

I have a new Propero II and a 2 year old Echelon. The Propero II you have to flip your sunglasses upside down and they stay in just fine, I've yet to have them come out. With the Echelon I could just slide them in fine without flipping them upside down.

Actually, never noticed it to be an issue with any helmet I wear.

x2

I find this helmet to be compatible with most of my sunglasses I wear. There are so many vents on this helmet which makes it extremely easy to place your glasses in there.

Kevin,

Maybe its a size thing and or what glasses are you using. I have tried attaching my glasses (Oakley radarlock pitch) to my helmet (Specialized Propero II) standard position and unpside down. They are either way to stretched out or very lose. Ah my helmet is a large also.

What size helmet do you use and what glasses are you using?

Thanks

Doug

Giro Ionos with Scott Pivlock v90. It's a 2013 helmet. I don't know if they've changed it.
