Scenic Shots While Cycling

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

From today's ride: Lake Tahoe - sorry about the haze; there's a big fire in the area.

Hah! You recognized the location - good work. I assume you've been up that long hill. To those unfamiliar, Hawthorne Blvd. in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA starts at an elevation of around 260'. The climb lasts 3 or 4 miles and peaks on High Ridge Road at an elevation of around 1200'.

you are up waay too early. isn't that the tree on paseo del mar north of cloyden rd (near the high school) on the vacant lot? spent a little time here & there once upon a time.
if so, it's a little north of lunada bay which has its own charms but no trees on public land that i recall. regardless, a beautiful photo. i never got around to that spot that early in the morning. it was more of an afternoon or late night spot for me
now i need to come up next week and do a pvp century to cram in all the goodness.

You're right. I checked my files. This is actually Lake Superior north shore.

The road up to Lac De Cap De Long in the Pyrenees.

There are plenty of pics of it on the net, but none of them quite do it justice.
