Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mostly Nashbar - I like that they charge all Canadian taxes up front, and I don't have to worry about any brokerage fees added on when the parcel arrives.

Nashbar and Performance have always been reliable to me for the last 20yrs or so. Nashbar moreso for the bargain basement deals, great Shimano prices and the occasional Italian or Euro obscurity. Other favorites Sierra Trading Post, Jenson USA, Art's Cyclery and Ribble. Amazon sometimes.

Lots of reliable vendors on eBay for smaller item orders Trail This, BuildYourBike and nonstop ciclismo, to name a few.

I used to do Performance and Nashbar almost exclusively but now I just google the item and get it at the lowest price from a reliable source. Amazon does surprisingly well in this regard.

CL and ebay. Lately, mostly ebay. Bargains on CL have all but disappeared.

Nashbar defiantly, but I keep wanting to try Competitive Cyclist, but always seem to forget to even check them before ordering something from Nashbar. Love this thread, I have never heard of some of these people are listing.. I never get tired of checking out different stores.

ebay, amazon, arts cyclery, cannondale experts, nashbar...I dont care, who ever has the lowest prices.

But, if a shop has something within reason over the online shops or I have a question, I always buy from the shop.

REI also has some killer closeouts.

I usually only buy stuff on sale though.

The Clymb. They offer cycling gear at 80% off sometimes. Bought 3 pairs of bibs for $180. They retailed EACH at $200. 2 pairs Pearl Izumi Elite Pro and a pair of Capo pro bibs. It was an absolute steal

Nashbar and Performance for their great return policy. I'll pay a little more, sometimes, with tax and shipping with them, but I know I can get most of my money back if I don't like it.
I buy stuff because I want it to work, not just try it out, so I try not to abuse them.
If I'm positive that I want a certain item, I'll go for the cheapest I can find on the net.
