Should I see a doctor? Bump on my leg?
Last night I noticed this "bump" (kind of like when you bruise it a lump appears) on the calf muscle of my leg next to my kneecap. Only there is no sign of bruising or redness and I have not hurt my leg recently.
I am a heavy bike rider and ride everyday...sometimes I have to pedal very hard to get up hills and etc. so I am hoping it could just be a hernia? But my main concern is a blood clot.
When I flex my leg, I can feel it the most. You can kind of see the lump too.
Should I get it checked out by a doctor? I am more than willing to ask a professional but quiet frankly I don't want to waste my dad's money for nothing. But I am worried. Could it be from me riding a lot?

In my experience, if it concerns you enough that you ask "Should I see a doctor?" the answer is usually "yes". There are lots of lumps that can occur on or in the human body, some are no cause for worry, others can be real problems. Pretty hard for anyone to give you any valuable diagnosis or advice based on a forum post. Give your physician's office a call. Most clinics and independent physician's offices have an "Ask a Nurse" or similar program where you can call in with your questions to see if you should come in.
If the lump continues to grow, becomes painful, restricts movement, or becomes inflamed (hot and red) get medical attention ASAP.

This is a cycling forum, not a medical advice forum.
If you're worried ... go see a Dr.

Go see a Dr. If nothing else, you'll be establishing a base line to compare notes later on in life.

There are many possibilities, ranging from harmless to pretty worrisome. Given the reference to "dad's money", I think we can strongly discount the odds of anything malignant. If it's towards the back of the knee, two likely possibilities are baker's cyst or an enlarged lymph node. If it's in front, especially if it's some ways from the knee, then it's something more obscure. I don't think you can get a hernia in your leg, and deep vein thrombosis does not present itself as a lump with no other apparent problems elsewhere in the leg.

If you have no pain, keep riding. It's not ebola or cancer, so pretty sure your life's not in danger. If it gets worse (bigger) or causes pain, then get it looked at. FYI, I'm not a doctor, but I made out with a lab tech once and I'm pretty sure this is what she'd say.
