Cipollini RB 800 vs Colnago VR1
I might be in a position to buy a high end bike, I'm trying to figure out which might be the better choice , one comes w electronic Super record and the other w Di2 Dura Ace , does anyone here have any experience w the ride on them, I can demo the Cipo but I don't think anyone has a VR1 for demo .
Any feedback would be appreciated

Oh, man...riding a V1-R, the Colnago-Ferrari collab, is truly riding a legacy in bicycle manufacture. I respect Cipo, but seriously would not consider riding one of his over Ernesto's.

The VR-1 is one of three interesting aero or semi-aero bikes. The other is the Pinarello F8 and the Cervelo R5. It would be fun doing a test ride of all three at once over the sme course.

I would suggest going with the bike that fits your body measurements best, the Cipollini RB800 is an amazing bike and I love mine to death. It is exhilarating to climb with, carves on descents, and puts power out at all times. The Colnago V1-R is slightly less responsive, a bit more compliant, and designed really to be a slightly better M10s which didn't quite get me as excited as the RB800 did. My review on the RB800 will be posted soon to give you more in depth perspective on the experience I had.

Quick Update, I have pulled the trigger and have decided on the Cipo RB800 Green Fluo Team colors, Super Campy EPS, FFWD wheels, 3t cockpit and Arione saddle, I should be taking delivery sometime before the end of the year. I got a killer deal i couldnt pass up this is also a frameset authographed by Mario himself at an event my LBS had last month, super excited and will post pics once I get it .

Yes, very nice, and meeting Mario and having him sign the frame is a nice backstory to ownership. Enjoy it!

Thank you all! I finally took her on her maiden ride and she rides amazing, EPS shifts amazing, once you stand on it it just jumps up and pounces. Super smooth ride as well I only rode 10 miles as it was dark and getting used to new bike and darkness might not be very good idea !

Good choice fella. I also have an RB 0.8K silver with green accents and to me it's the dogs boll*ks. Ditched the Zipp 404's and fitted Mavic R-SYS SLR's and upgraded to DA 9070 Di2 from DA 9000 mech, totally different machine now. I'm happy. Make sure you register it with Cipollini as there has been an issue with the laminate to the carbon on the steerer, inside the head tube. I've had the all clear and a cert to prove it, just need to get your LBS to take some pics and send them off. Happy riding
