Torn on a new bike
After 10 years (and 1 welding job) my Litespeed Teramo (Ultegra 6600 and rolf vector comp wheels) is about done. The seat stay needs welding and the seat post is rigidly stuck between the carbon post and the titanium frame.
I've a budget of c. £1600 and realised titanium is a pipe dream but managed to found 2 possible solutions but I am massively torn. Vitus Bikes Vitesse VRi Road Bike 2014 | Chain Reaction Cycles
or
Wiggle | NeilPryde Zephyr Ultegra 2014 | Road Bikes
Both seem great value.
The Vitus seems great but I have never heard of them and reveiws are tough to find and same goes for the fsa gossamer brakes. It seems light and with Di2 could be another long term deal.
The Zephyr also seems good but the wheel reveiws are not the best (and wouldnt be able to upgrade for a long while). Oh and no Di2...
Im leaning towards the Vitus but would appreciate and opinions/advice. Would really like full Ultegra as it has served me so well thus far.
Oh its mainly used for my 10 mile commute all year round and a couple of longer rides each month.
Thanks

With the links given, the big question is; "Do you want electric or mechanical shifting?" There's gotta be a big difference in price.
Another prime factor to consider is the geometry because the NeilPryde is a much more enduro geometry.

When it comes to cycling I am a bit of a novice. Not in the sense of miles ridden as Ive clocked up around 3,000 miles this year but have only really had 2 bikes in 13 years.
Having read the reveiws Di2 seems like the mutts nuts and I very much would like this. I just cant see the catch with the Vitus bike. I dont understand where thr trade off is in terms of price as its lighter, has di2, has (apparently) better wheels. It it just it is not a "big" brand similar to planet x bikes.
Cheers for any comments.

Really like my Di2 bike and if you go that route spends the extra cash and get sprint shifters they are really nice, I use mine a lot. I do not think you could do bad with either bike though.

Thanks Nastystang! After a morning out on the soon to be retired Teramo, think I decided on the Vitus. Am eager to have Di2 and don't need the more relaxed geometry yet and the better wheels are a good package.
