Surly vs Litespeed

I bought a Cross Check about 8 months ago. I absolutely love it, the vintage feel and style of it, plus I have leather tape and Brooks saddle. But I just got the opportunity to buy a Litespeed Classic for a good price (~$1200, with Dura Ace 7800). I hardly ride the Surly, just occasional gravel road or spin around town. I tried commuting a few times but I don't do mornings great and school is 9 mi away so usually I don't have time. So, the Surly sits, as I am usually riding my R3 in the few instances I get enough time after classes to ride, and weekend groups I am riding the R3 also. I always wanted a Ti bike, and LOVE Litespeeds, especially how well they ride and how smooth, yet fast they are. I would totally ride this bike during group rides and on my mid week runs too.

So my dilemma: Do I sell the Surly, and get the Litespeed? Or do I let the idea go, and move on, justifying it as unnecessary...

if you have the cash on hand, pick up the litespeed, ride it for awhile, and decide which one you want to keep.

warning, this method usually results in you keeping both.

I had a similar situation where I had a Soma ES that I really like, then came across a Moots Pyschlo-x. Thought I might end up selling the Soma, but ended up using the Soma as my rain/Winter bike since the Moots doesn't have fender mounts. So I'd say keep them both.

"Chevy Suburban vs Lotus Exige"

Nah, I don't want the Lotus, it doesn't have fender mounts or a soft, giant sticker as a head badge or a dozen different horrific-looking wet decals adorning it everywhere.

I love stickers, steel, and wet decals.

If you rarely ride the Surley now, you never will later. CX is something you do a lot or not at all. That includes just general riding on them
