What is your "dream" bike paint?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What is your "dream" bike paint?

This topic sparked up during a conversation with some friends and was very interesting. We came up with some wacky paint schemes (General Lee) and such. I though A tron paint job on a Specialized Tarmac would be very cool. What is an interesting/wacky paint job that you would like to see on a bike?

Bare carbon with all advertising removed. F them, they should pay me if they want to plaster advertisement all over the bike.

The paint job on this Kinesis Aithein by graf artist Aroe is pretty dreamy by my standards:

Baums look great, really great, but it's really more the total package than the paint job, which in part, only looks so cool because of the way the make and model names fit into the scheme. I mean, I think it would be difficult to pull-off a Baum-style paint job on anything else, or without it looking like a flagrant ripoff. Boy, those Baums do have it all together, though.

I like single color without a lot of graphics. Brand name on the down tube, model name on the top tube, that is enough. My bike also has the brand on the seat tube and fork legs, if it were not under the clear coat I would remove it (I did on my old bike when they were decals).

I really like bare matte ti, stainless with brazing in an off color, or bare looking carbon fiber.

The biggest part is Baum's use of color combinations - they know what works well together and what doesn't. Beyond that, their GT paint scheme is a great canvas for said color combinations (their standard, non-GT paint job scheme is bland, I think). The other thing that they frequently do, that I really think really pays off, is to paint the stem and seat post as part of the frame, rather than leave just leave the standard graphics/colors from the manufacturer.

I want to repaint my old steel bike someday. Probably a burnt orange metallic of some kind. Dark cherry would be good too.

Not sure what frame this would work on, something with some swoopy hard lines.

I really like that paint scheme. I don't like the colors themselves in solid blocks of it but that is very nice with the design

My carbon bike doesn't have paint on it. They call it nude but some may call it bare. I like it that way.

I love that Kenesis!

I like the paint jobs on a lot of newer Pegorettis. Ugly at first glance, but they grow on me. The World's Best Photos of ciavete and pegoretti - Flickr Hive Mind
