keeping leg warmers up

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to keep my leg warmers tucked in under my shorts legs. Within about 5 miles, they slip out and it drives me crazy. How do you get them to stay put??

I can't say I've ever had the problem. In fact, there are times I try to pull them down because I'm getting too warm and that takes some doing.

Could be fit and/or materials. If they fit properly and have a good elastic band at the top, you shouldn't really have this problem. I had a pair a few years back that did this, and I found that it was mainly due to the top of them being too small. I think the elastic band was also a bit on the cheap side as well, and it wanted to always ride down my leg to whatever its perfect spot was, not necessarily the best spot on my legs.

What legwarmers are you using?

It depends on the gripper material of both the leg warmer and your shorts. I find that the silicone leg grippers when pulled over the leg warmers will keep them in place better than other materials. It also helps if both are snug.

When I use knee warmers it's on colder days so I'm also wearing some merino wool liners that can help prevent them from sliding around. On top of that are my tights, but they do manage to move and I'm probably going to get the longer leg warmers instead of the knee warmers.

Buy the proper size.

^^^ this. good quality warmers that fit. Otherwise, safety pins. I've also seen people put the warmers over the shorts, I would say it didn't look pro, except the person doing it was an actual pro.

Panache warmers have a wide gripper that works well without leaving a thigh bulge. My favorite by far of all the ones I've had:

Leg squats?

Suspenders won't work. Steal a garter belt from your wife. I can only imagine the look on her face when she's finds out. :innocent:

That's right. A garter will work. Sexy times

Buy them in a length that covers the whole leg. This way the tops won't tend to squeeze themselves down your thighs.

My wife only pulls her knee warmers up a few inches beyond the leg hem of her shorts. Needless to say, they always fall down. lol

I try and try to tell her, but she doesn't listen.

So, my initial thought is that you need to pull them up more. Mine ride up near my groin, and they never come down even a bit.

Do you shave? They slide down hairy legs easier.
