Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2006 Giant TCR2

Thinking about getting a 2nd bike for wet weather and when the roads are salty or dirty. I found a 2006 Giant TCR2 that is like new condition. Full 105 from that year. Gentleman says he would like $500. I was thinking $350-$400 to get a good deal. Please share any thoughts, I appreciate it!

That sounds like a great deal. I got an 2005 Giant OCR2 for my winter riding.

If this is going to be your rain/winter bike, I HIGHLY recommend getting these: Portland Design Works Full Metal Fenders (Road) - Mountain Equipment Co-op. Free Shipping Available

I have them on my OCR 2 which is similar geometry, and they keep ALL the road crap off me and the bike. After 300 miles of wet/salty road riding, the bike looks like it's only been taken out in the dry.

This will also keep all the salty water from shortening the life of your headset, bottom bracket, and brakes.
