Bontrager Race Lite IsoZone Handlebars
Does anyone have any experience with these handlebars? Do you feel that they noticably reduce road vibration, or do they actually work so well that they make you feel disconnected from your bike/the road? I was considering getting the aluminum version of the handlebars and was wondering whether the few positive reviews I've seen online for the handlebars are largely attributable to the fact they the reviews were for the significantly more expensive carbon version of the handlebars. Many thanks!

I have the carbon version. It is nothing more than a lightweight carbon bar with thin rubber pads to go under the bar tape. I do notice that the carbon is far more comfortable (absorbs road vibration) than the stock bontrager bar that my Madone 2.3 came stock with. If your considering the al version I would just buy a set of Fizik bar gel strips off of amazon.

I have the Aluminum version on my CrossRip and I like them. Nothing special, but I also got a carbon version of them free so why not try them. Not sure I would spend a lot of money on them, but I can't say anything bad about them either.

I have 2 bikes with those bars on them - alluminum model. They come with gel strips and I have had no issues with them, they are comfortable.

The aluminum version has the IsoZone padding on the tops, the carbon version has it in the drops as well. I had the aluminum version on my 5-series Domane and they were 'alright' but I ended up replacing them with these - Bontrager: Race X Lite Blade VR-C (Model #08393)
