Specialized Hardrock Electric Bicycle for sale in Bay Area - $800

Selling a converted Specialized Hardrock Electric Bicycle.

I converted a Specialized Hardrock bike to an e-bike several years ago with the help of fellow Bikeforums members. Soon after I finished the conversion, I had to move and I stopped using the bike. I also need space more than ever, so I want to get rid of this bike. I used this bike for a total of about 3-4 months, and since then I just used a battery tender every so often to keep the battery in good shape.

See the old forum thread for specifics on my bike build.

This is a rough breakdown of what it costed me:
-Bike (Specialized Hardrock) - $300
-Battery (36v LiFePo - same batteries as used in electric cars) - $400
-Rear high performance direct drive hub motor from Ebikekit - $600
-Assorted wiring, BMS, slime, knobby bike tire, seatpost, etc - $150

This bike can easily go 20-25mph on its own using the thumb throttle. With pedaling, it goes up a bit. I have given people rides (with me combined thats about 250lbs), and the bike has no problem handling it. The bike is a bit weight-heavy and right-heavy - so 1) you're not going to go mountain biking in this and 2), you can place your batteries in a more balanced position if it bugs you.

I am located in downtown Oakland, CA. Bikes are too difficult to ship so you will have to come pick up the bike. PM me if you are interested in purchasing.

$600 asking price, offers will be considered.

PM me

I just lowered the asking price a lot to $600 in the interest of getting rid of the bike.
