FS A Pair of Custom Frames

I have two frames I built for myself and my late wife. They share style and treatments but are painted in mirror images of each other.

#520 - 52cm ST c-c (53.5cm to top), 55cm TT c-c. Built in 1986 and in 1994 was repainted and had some braze on changes (to match frame #920 ). 531 Professional (traditional diameters in lighter the usual gages) tubes, HJ cast lugs, shell and crown. English threadings. Short reach brake clearances. Shimano UF drop outs. Takes a 27.2 seat post. Aprox 39.5" wheel base and 10.75" BB height with 24MM sew ups. 130 rear drop out spread. Complete bike weighed about 22 lbs with cages, computer and pump with no serious light weight parts (could be below 20lbs easily enough). Includes headset (Stronglight A9 roller bearing) and DT cable stop plate with adjusters. $200 plus actual shipping. Shipping to US address only.

This was my go fast, weekend club, bike for nearly 15 years. For a steel frame it's fairly light and quick handling but not what I would call a "race" geometry. I ran sew ups only on this bike and it went through a few kits over the years as indexing came to be. But the time came to make another frame so this one has sat for about a dozen+ years. The Flicker album shows the frame as last built up, note that only the headset and shift cable adjuster/stop plate are included (although I still have the sew up wheels, Mavic/Campy/Sachs FW, that are also available at additional cost). Never really crashed but has slid out on a few corners Frame and fork have some rust and chips as age would suggest and has no dents or defects.

#920 - 46.5cm c-c (48cm to top) x 49cm TT. Note the 24" (520mm ISO or Terry type) front wheel design, no toe clip overlap! Built in 1994 with True Temper RC2 tubes, HJ cast lugs, shell and crown. English threadings. Short reach brake clearances. Shimano UF drop outs. Takes a 27.2 seat post. Aprox 37.5" wheel base and 10.75" BB height with 24MM sew ups. 130 rear drop out spread. Complete bike weighed about 19.5 lbs with cages, computer and pump with no serious light weight parts (could be below 18lbs easily enough). Includes headset (Stronglight A9 roller bearing) and DT cable stop plate with adjusters. $200 plus actual shipping. Shipping to US address only.

This frame was built for my late wife. It was her light weight/Club, bike for just over 10 years before she passed. For a steel frame it's fairly light and quick handling but not what I would call a "race" geometry. It ran sew ups only on this bike and it went through two kits over the years as indexing came to be. Has sat for about a dozen+ years, second wife got her own frame... The Flicker album shows the frame as last built up, note that only the headset and shift cable adjuster/stop plate are included (although I still have the sew up wheels 700c rear and 24" ft, Mavic/Campy/Sachs FW, that are also available at additional cost). Never really crashed but has slid out once in a corner Frame and fork have some rust and chips as age would suggest and has no dents or defects. Late wife was 5' 2" and this frame fit her very well.

More photos of built bikes and bare frames are at https://www.flickr.com/photos/731955...57695057028424 . I'm happy to answer questions. I'd rather sell these as a pair (and continue their being a couple) and would consider a pair price. I also have some clincher 24" (520 ISO) rims if sew ups aren't your bag. Andy

these are really nice...... no where near my size.

IMHO you should post these in the C&V for sale thread.....they fit the vibe there and will be appreciated, fair number of people there look for frames for kids and grand kids also so could be a family pair in that way also
