For sale Othon Ochsner frame & fork

I have an Ochsner frame and fork for sale. 59cm center to top of seat tube. Metallic blue made with Allel tubing 1985 model. Includes 105 head set and 105 bottom bracket. Tubes have been cleaned and both HS and BB reconditioned and repacked with Campy grease. Asking $250 plus shipping from Bloomington, IN At this time unable to post pics, but has some minor scratches and some paint wear on the left chain stay. Probably an 7 out of 10 on condition, but low miles. Will be a great ride for a taller rider than me. I'm 5'6" and getting shorter by the day. Thanks for looking! Smiles, MH

You had mentioned selling components if you parted it out. I am interested in handleber, stem, seatpost, and pedals if they are the original from the bike. Thanks

Delbiker1,
I haven't parted this bike out, maybe a comment from someone else? I have access to bars, stems, and seat posts as well as some pedals. I volunteer at a local co-op from time to time, and those parts are readily available. I doubt if Cinnelli bars are available but Nitto and some times 3ttt show up for cheap $. Size of components, and desired type will help me find some parts for you. I'm not sure if it is a forum rule to disclose personal information, so I won't do so now. If it is Ok, I will send my e-mail and your needs can be discussed off line to keep discussions here on point. Smiles, MH

Thanks for the reply Mad Honk. I realized after the post that it was the OP of a different Ochsner thread that made the comment about parting out. I appreciate your offer of help finding parts. I already have the components for my bike, but I would have considered purchasing others if they were original from an Ochsner.

Delbiker1,
Not a problem. If memory serves me correctly, most of those Ochsners were actually made up in shops, out of frames and then components added. The one I am currently restoring after a fire was one of those frames sold independent of parts. I originally put it into service with a Sun Tour Blue-line groupo, but have decided to to move a Nuevo Record from another bike to it. The fire compelled me to have a re-paint and complete re-build so the NR was the groupo of choice for me. I purchased the frame I am selling to guide me in the accurate positions of the frame decal set. It has done its job for me and needs to go to a good home as it is too large for me. Smiles, MH

M H, thanks for the Ochsner info, I keep getting bits at a time. The story on your bike is certainly different and interesting. Except for the fire part, it is pretty cool. I have a set of decals that I purchased from VeloCal.com. Before I stripped the frame, I took alot of pictures of the positioning of the decals. I do not have any pics of the bike as it was originally, but I do have one of the bike when I had it partially hybridized. My rebuild has come to a stall, waiting on really nice used wheels and 8 speed Shimano DT shifters that I purchased. I wish you success with your rebuild. If you would, keep me posted on the build and I sure would like a couple of pictures when it is finished. Are PMs available to you yet? Thanks again. Ken
Before start of rebuild

Not finished, making some changes.

I'm kinda reviving this thread as I still have the frame around; but have also accumulated a mix of tricolor six hundred and 105 parts that will make it a complete bike. So now a question of what it should be on the market. I will get pics tomorrow and post back here. Smiles, MH

So the frame and fork are now a complete bike. I would prefer that this bike go to a forum member than to some random rider. It has a lot of new parts and yes it is a rider out of the box. I have about $325 in it and will consider offers. Knowing the lineage this will be a great bike for someone taller than me. Again a 59cm frame.

Nice Mad Honk. This would make a really nice rider for someone tall. To anybody looking: These frame/forks make for a very nice ride. Very comfortable, nimble, durable and classic looking.

Not sure that I would want the complete build, I was thinking about going in a different direction with an Ochsner if I could get one.
