Tumbleweed Prospector

$4900
If you're looking for a do-it-all mountain bike, bike-packing steed, and around-the-world platform, look no further than the Tumbleweed Prospector. Based around the Rohloff 14-speed internal geared hub, the bike conquers anything you throw at it without having to worry about snapping off your derailleur. The front rigid fork spacing is 135mm, matching the rear 135mm rohloff in the case of hub issues while traveling in far off places. (135mm hubs are more universal internationally). The bike can be run in 29+ rigid mode (for bikepacking and mountain-biking) or you can run a suspension fork with hydraulic brakes for a more fun mountain-biking ride. The versatility of this bike is hard to overstate. Interested in getting into fat-biking but don't want a fat-bike? This frame accommodates 26x4" wheel-sets. Fame is an XL, which can fit anyone from 6'1 - 6'7; Frame has a small dent on top tube, which happened setting it against a pole. Daniel, the owner of Tumbleweed, assured me it's nothing to worry about given the size and location.

Parts List
Hand built November Bicycles wheelset based around Derby 40i 29" carbon rims (Wheelset with rohloff and dynamo was $2700; Rohloffs are expensive)
Schmidt SON 35mm dynamo Hub
Shimano XT Crankset with Wolf Tooth Chainring
TRP Spyke Mechanical Disc Brake
Maxxis Chronicle DC/EXO TR 29x2.8" Plus Tires
Ergon SM Comp Mens Steel Saddle
Tumbleweed Persuader Bar (Super comfy)
Thomson Elite X4 Mountain Stem
Thomson Masterpiece Seatpost (not pictured)

The price I have listed does not include the following, but I would be willing to part with them if desired. I'm aware the price is already super high up there $$$-wise.

RockShox Pike Select Suspension Fork
WTB KOM Tough 40mm wheel with Shimano XT Hub
PNW dropper post with remote (super nice when riding rigid)
Shimano BR-M8120 XT 4-Piston Disc Brakeset
Custom Rockgeist Framebag
Tumbleweed Mini Pannier Rack

well this is very cool!

built up a surly karate monkey with the hopes of doing something just like this ... but alas not quite all the features a bike like this has... GLWS
