I have found it helpfull to log into motionbased...

I have found it helpfull to log into motionbased and search the Trail Network for rides in the area you want to ride and when you find one save it as a course file.

Disableing the cadence sensor or removing the battery from it will keep the Edge recording. I reported the same problem to Garmin.

I submitted the 'Find Addresses' issue to Garmin support. They were able to reproduce the problem and aknowledged it as a bug that will be fixed in a future update. Hopefully the next one.

I don't know how or if you can import a 'turn by turn' route into the edge. You can create or import waypoints and then tell the Edge to take you there and it will give you turn by turn directions...
