Gotta ride the roads, the cars just make it more interesting. Plus I have the ability to purchase drinks and whatnot at will if I should run low...No circle k on the local bike path around here.

Yes they are. They also have a "brace" for lack of a better term supprting that spot and bolted on that allows them to fit the stem since the are undersized.

Thanks for the replies everyone....Good to know it's a decent bike. The LBS said it was a 27 lb bike (seems awful heavy to me if it indeed is) and a good starter bike.

Currently she rides 0 miles...
