Ok, thanks everyone - appreciate your responses. The OLD is indeed 135 mm. There doesn't seem to be a spacer between the rear hub and the cassette, or I just cannot see it without detaching the wheel...

Brilliant, I had not thought of the option that it actually could be a modern freehub with spacers... I'll have to take it apart tonight and see what has it eaten. Cheers!

My girl has got a 2012 Felt QX60 bike with 7-speed cassette. The cassette specifically is Shimano CS-HG41-7ac.

Since I have a plenty of 9-speed...
