I love the paint job on this one. I've only ever seen two or three of the 414's up for sale and never ridden one. It appears they have more relaxed geometry compared to the 7 and higher series bikes.

Sounds like a cool idea. Are you painting it yourself or having someone else do it? If it's a professional job you should be able to pass off a piece of your Tricolor group that has the colors on it...

Hard to say. I've only put a few hundred miles on the SRAM bike whereas I've done many thousand on the Shimano. The new bike has much nicer wheels and tires which I do appreciate.

You can definitely use 9-speed DA or Ultegra derailleurs and cranks with 10-speed shifters. The only limitation I know of is tooth capacity in the rear. I think 9-speed derailleurs are limited to 26...
