there are many surface treatments you could give...

there are many surface treatments you could give a bike frame. paint is the obvious but not the only one.

galvanized would be pretty f-ing rad. if you can afford it go for it.

I agree with unterhausen. drill the bottom of the bb. other than that make sure you have vent holes in all of your joints. spray wd 40 inside the frame whenever its apart.
