You kinda got some companies wrong, first of all it's CANNONDALE chase, not trek, and its definitely street oriented, the specialised P.2 is much less than your bidget, at 1900 I would go for the P.3...

well i dont think there is much of a problem, cuz if your still 2 inches from bottoming out, thats quite a ways. an air fork, unless it has very little air pressure, is rather difficult to bottom out...

well he said it pretty quickly, but i believe he broke his arm, not the bike, but ya tearing up stuff in your knee is worse to me, right there the injury may not be as bad but its got long term...

With a F/S i find that i can get my front up much easier because when i compress the back shock it lowers the geometry allowing the front to come up easier, then you have the rebound of the rear...
