I agree. This is why I keep dropping my bike on it's side. The FD will wear out soon enough. Sora here I come.

It's a road bike with the setting on suck. According to GPS, avg speed: Ascent - 6MPH; Flat - 10 MPH, Descent - 13MPH.

I used to worked as a dev -- ahh, the good days of screwing over project...

Are you guys serious?

I am out of shape and just got into cycling, but even on a downhill, in my highest gear, pedaling furiously, I top out at 30 MPH.

Where is the unsuck button on my bike?

I didn't brake before the turn, and I may have moved my weight away form the seat right before (or during) the slide. I'll change my habit of keeping my pedals horizontal...

I did a left turn going down hill at around 15-25MPH on dry bumpy paved road, but my rear wheel slipped to the right a few inches in the middle...

As someone who drove up to Lake Arrowhead...

As someone who drove up to Lake Arrowhead recently via the 18.... I wouldn't suggest biking this route.

I do have the advantage of living in an area with lots of residential roads and tons with bikers on them.
