I ride a Speed D7. The gears go from 34" - 92", and I think this is pretty good for most purposes. I bought my daughter an Eco 3, and while it also has seven speeds, it goes from 41" - 77". ...

Thanks. What is a tire boot? And are the Kendas on Dahons skinny or fat? I'd guess skinny, but not as skinny as the 100 lb clinchers I had on a long ago Nishiki bike I had.

Yes, the reach is the problem. I ordered the Speed D7 online but I have found that there are a couple of Dahon dealers near me, so I will take her to try the Curve. I don't think there are any KHS...

I just got a new Dahon Speed D7. Everything worked great right out of the box. Yesterday I rode it from Venice Beach CA to Santa Monica and back, about 10 miles roundtrip, and it was a lot of fun....
