2003 to 2005 Gary Fisher Advance

i really wanted to try out mountain biking and i found this guy selling a Gary Fisher Advance. he said he got this bike 6 years ago..i havent meet that guy yet..he wanted ~$300 for the bike..anyone...

As Topic...is this normal to have pressure on the palm on all road other than hybrid/MTB?

single speed.
both brakes are dead..minimal rust..which is pretty sweet
not that heavy too for a cheap folder

my original chainring is slightly bent and i am looking for a crankset all together (other reasons :P)
AFAIK, the redline 925 is a square taper 68mm X 110mm
