it looks kinda cool, but when i went to the store to look at it, i thought it was overpriced.
i ended up buying my wife a fuji feather for much less.

1 piece crank frame

i just found an old diamond back frame
and it's got a 1 piece crank

generally speaking, is it possible to put 3 piece cranks
in a bike that originally had 1 piece cranks?

Short Stem

I'm looking for a threadless stem for my bowery.
I'd like to go with a bmx style stem, but most of those are 22.2 dia clamps.
I have 25.4mm nitto bars.

Anybody running a bmx or dh stem around...

Well it turns out that the fixed cog is a...

Well it turns out that the fixed cog is a different size than the freewheel.
So I needed to get a bigger chain.

Now I'm fixed!
Gotta learn how to stop...

well, the bike came with the flipflop hub (new), so i'm assuming you can use the same chain.
since i don't have the manual, i'm not sure at all.

So I flipflopped my rear hub...

from the freewheel side to the fixed cog for the first time
and something was wrong

turn the crank and there was a "ka-tunk" feeling
the teeth on the cogs were getting stuck to the chain
not...

Chain and gear

I'm running 46 17 on my Giant Bowery.
Freewheel.

Here in Chicago where it's flat, I find myself pedaling at max
and not moving very fast.

What can I do to my bike to make it go a little...
