I definitely look at the weather forecast in the morning before I ride in. I will ride unless 80-90% chance of rain or T-storms. I have fenders so I don't care if it's wet - except when it's cold.

I count 'em. Miles are miles. I have a Garmin 705 and cadence sensor so I can track my miles pretty easily. My indoor rides tend to be shorter and more intense (usually in the form of intervals).
