Well, if you think about it, any NOS vintage frame thats on the bigger side is probably NOS because that size didnt particularly "sell out" at whatever store or warehouse it was at.

But again, we're talking about a bike that was worth less than 150$ before the crash... The bike needs to be atleast worth $400 to even make an insurance claim worthwhile, in my opinion at least.

Should be perfectly fine... Adjusting the seatpost height and getting a longer stem can improve the fit. However, i'm doubting you will have any problems with just moving the seat a little higher.
