While I can't vouch for the new BMC aluminum frames, I will say that my Easton aluminum bike (mtb) has been straight up awsesome for years.

I do both mtb and road in the dark. I've crashed a ton on the mtb at night, but I am also much more visible on the road bike at night.

Interesting. I was a 143 on the assometer as well, which is actually what the stock saddle is (roughly) but it's so flat the edges drop off instead of curve. He thought that might be the problem....
