I also used the Tektro R559 calipers on my Sports but replaced the Raleigh levers with Shimano BL-R550 levers...

Here is pic of the Velo Orange stem adapter on my bike. I liked the way the adapter flares to the bottom of the stem giving a smoother appearance. That being said the appearance turns some folks off...

I have a 1971 AW which is smooth and a 1973 AW which has the grooves same as Velocivixen's hub. So maybe the grooves were added around 1972?

Cables are marked "Shimano M System" and looking at piece I cut off it is lined with some type slick material. Whatever the stuff is the brake action is very smooth.

Do you know the threading on the fork steerer tube, 24tpi or 26tpi? Maybe your LBS can help find a suitable replacement.
