I didn't cold set my Miyata 710 (on the previous page) but I did realign the rd hanger. I don't find it difficult to remove the rear wheel with the bike resting upside down on its saddle and bars.

My 1986 Miyata 710 came with a Cyclone front dr. but Shimano 600 dt shifters and rear dr. It ran great indexed with a 6sp freewheel.
