Thanks very much! I have a new plain silver chain that's gonna go on soon... I'm kinda waiting to wear this one out a bit more before I swap it out so I didn't waste it.

It is! I commute to and from work on it every day it isn't pouring rain. About 4.5 miles each way.

Hmmmmm... Must have been a similar looking bike. I live across the water in Bremerton and don't really get out to Seattle too often. It started out as a stock Cinelli Bootleg Mystic Rats.

I dunno? That's how I've always done it... I pull up with my downstroke leg and push down with my other one. I use my straps in a similar way to how I do when I ride up hills. I pull up with my leg...

Definitely keep the front brake if you're riding it around town... Something that helped me out when I was learning how to skid stop is you don't push down with your foot, as much as you pull up with...

Thanks. I enjoy the bike, the components it came with are pretty nice. That being said, I will never do a bike with this much white again. It shows all road grime, and with how much it rains here...
