Anybody fit fenders on the SST? There are eyelets on the SST/Clockwork, but someone noted (mihlbach?) that there wasn't room for fenders... which would not make a good sloppy...

And what do you mean by it is garbage? If your are doing a conversion the stem MAY be the last of your worries, i.e. work on other stuff first. Old threaded stems general work quite well.
