No I meant that it was fine with the original...

No I meant that it was fine with the original stem because the height of the steerer clamp was correct but not with the new stem that I recently installed.

LOL it was like that when I got the bike used. It's a 2003 Specialized Allez Elite if it helps. So you're saying the best solution is to add a spacer (which is a lot easier) or cut the steerer tube?

I would suggest you get a carbon bike if you have the dough and take good care of it (which you are supposed to anyway). If its over your budget then just get a steel or aluminum frame.

I only looked at part of the rear brake cable and did not see the front and the part where the handlebar tape is covering. Is unwrapping the handlebar tape the only way to expose the remaining cable?
