Servicing a Formula Freehub - Is it possible.

I finally got the 12mm hex wrench that I need to remove freehub so I can re-grease the bearings. The problem is that i'm applying lots and lots of force and the thing won't budge for sh1t! Am I doing...

I only use the largest 53T chairing. I got rid of my front shifter, the other smaller chairings, and the dérailleur. Some one told me I must have a dérailleur on. Why?

Removing crank without a crank puller

Has anyone been able to do this. I am thinking of using a candle to heat the crank so the metal of the arm expands and then hammer it off. It is a square taper.
