I have a few bikes with a few lights. The light i like most is the metro 300 (i think they just upgrade them to 360). I have 2 of them on my hybird. I also like the minewt pro 750 (on another bike)....

i use to live there and never see people riding their bikes in the cold. i rode only twice and it was on rt 209. i wanted to ride from the traffic light all the way up to the lake and more on rt 6...

saw park workers (i think) put salt down in spots on the SCT but the VCP part was really a big mess going home around 9pm. My bike was sinking in almost the whole trail (in VCP).

I have one on one of the bikes i use and if the battery is somewhat low once it gets very cold it sometimes stops. I just put in new batteries and its good to go.

i have a hybird with no suspension at all on sometimes tried single track (only when a friend drives me to one) and my bike held up ok (front suspension would have made it a better ride).

It should be ok. As for me i would be worried as i have some areas that i commute that are very bumpy that if im in the drops and hit a big hole that my hands might slip and my face hits the bar/stem.
