Adjustments for using a smaller frame

I have given my 54" road bike to my son who is three inches taller and ideally would need a 56 or 58.
Other than raising the seat, what adjustements are usually made for too small a frame?

Power Grips can be surprisingly good and will accept almost any shoe. They are not for everyone, but I like them....
