- The 'Elite' version's weight savings comes from using lighter wall cromoly tubing. Yay mystery solved.
- They don't have a front stem luggage...

speaking of mudguards, in the other direction there's the plume 'slap bracelet' mudguard. not the same purpose, but I'd rock it if I wanted an ultralight setup - http://plumemudguard.com

Yep, I noticed on the (rather outdated) foldsoc.co.uk site it's a rack he sells. Don't own a brompton yet, but will look into buying one or building something similar.
