I at first changed seats to something softer and found out that was not the problem. I picked up a pair of baggy bike shorts with cusion and they made the difference!

I didn't try an FX. Wanted a DS without a doubt. Tried the 8.3 w/o hydraulic disks and then the 8.4 with them. Huge difference in braking.

Hmmmm that is VERY good to know. I'll be riding both tomorrow so will make my final decision then. Wish they made the 8.4 in True Blue though :) that's a sweet color.
