Well my Atv does not have a windshield and i do 70+mph doesent slow me down. Windshield or not i do the speed limit. I doubt removing windshields from cars and trucks would solve anything.

The biker obviously knew before he got on his bike that he would be riding next to fast moving 3000+ pound cars. Accadents happen! Who knows that exact situaton that the biker was in beside the biker...

Thats not that slow if there are hills. It sounds like a nice relaxed pace and if hes going to work i doubt he wants to work up a sweat before he gets there.

Even when the shoulder is plenty wide enough the bikers choose to ride in the middle but there are many parts where the shoulder is to narrow and they have to ride the white line or in the lane....

Thats what i was thinking, because im pretty much sold on the Hardrock or Rockhopper but i wouldnt mind a full suspenion and this bike doesent look to shabby.
