I'll remeasure the shell but I'm pretty sure it reads > 69mm. But that's what got me feeling like I couldn't believe my eyes.
As for the spindle, the B measurement must correspond...

Thanks Bill - I need a 3N. The 3S would push 1.5mm out compared to the 3N - which may or may not clear the stays. I think I had tried to reach out to loosescrews previously myself.
