btw.. the feel on an air fork is similar to a coil spring fork ? i mean.. is it as progressive as a coil ?

anybody know if air forks are better than coil forks ? for example a marzocchi z1 with air vs a marzocchi z1 with coil springs on both sides, which one "lives" longer ? :P

do the "pads" hit the disc in the same time ? or 1 pad pushes the disc into the other one.. if it does that.. i find it stupid..
