oh. and what I did.. I have a new car that stays home, and an old 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee that stays at work.. that way no matter where I am I have a car in case I need one and I can commute back...

I felt my 1st gear was not quite low enough for riding all the hills near me. I swapped to the 34 during lunch and the derailleur didnt even need any adjustment.
