I second the notion of dropping $30-40 on a set of decent brake pads. The salmon ones like some had suggested are great! It really makes a huuuuuuuuge difference. Stock Shimano pads are weak.

I think however a Miche hub and Dura-Ace lock ring wont work.
You'll need to get a Miche or Miche compatible lock ring.

You might want to clean them (by flushing them out with degreaser), wait a couple hours till the degreaser has evaporated, then apply some oil.
