suspension for jumps?

hi,
i have a front suspension mtb, i have used it mainly for cycle tracks, but i would like to start jumping and down hill stuff, question is.....is my front suspension enough to cope with the bumps...

it was brand new, still packaged, the seller was a shop on ebay and he sold all bike...

i go out for half hour to an hour in the nights, about an hour after coming in i have 4 wheetabix with full fat milk, is this any good?
