I went to pick up the bike I ordered this evening, and on the top tube in a very visible location I first saw what seemed to be a paint smear as if it was touched while still wet which was underneath...

For example I was considering a Sputnik, but I am now considering a Pista, because it is...

Pista owners, does the lack of water bottle braze-ons cause a problem for you?

Anyone w/pronated (duck) feet?

Hi, I have pronated feet. What that means is that they are outwards at an angle like a duck and I really should be wearing orthotics but I got tired of them.

It does put stress on the knee because...

Oh I would have a brake. The Sputnik's (assuming that's what I end up with) geometry is pretty much a road geometry from what I can see so I suspect overlap won't be that bad, and twitchy is fun.

Well Ryan, I'm just talking about city riding here with lots of traffic lights and turns.. not races or anything. The reason racers use drops is because it makes them aerodynamic and allows them to...

Thanks for the replies guys!

And yeah I'm pretty sure they were all fixeds, keep in mind this was the 70s and early 80s. No gears on those. Those were the expensive bikes. The reason I am 100%...

Why is everyone using drop bars?

Hi there,

I'm contemplating getting a Sputnik if I can find one. I've rode a fixed gear before, but a really long time ago.. in the 70s and early 80s.. (kids bikes, and early bmx). All of them had...
