Installing Bar Ends

I need a how to. I just bought some bar ends and would like to avoid cutting the grips if possible. Does anyone have any slick install tips or instructions?

Which would be better, swapping out lenses (because you get yellow lenses) or transitional or where you don't get yellow lenses but you don't have to worry about swapping out lenses?

My particular bike carrier would lock the fork to the carrier provided I had a lock. My main concern is theft of the carrier because the thing takes time to remove from the bike rack, and I'm lazy...
